Barangaroo Water Treatment Plant – Custom Modular System

Given the site constraints for the newly constructed Crown Casino at Barangaroo, Sydney, a specialised and bespoke water treatment plant was required. Our client engaged Australian Industrial Plastics to design the plant layout, manufacture specific components, fabricate HDPE piping systems, and provide site installation, commissioning, and maintenance support.

Scope of Work

• Design and layout planning to optimise space efficiency within the restricted site footprint

• Fabrication of custom HDPE piping systems and water treatment components

• Prefabrication of all components offsite to improve delivery time and minimise on-site disruption

• Development of an innovative modular, containerised system to accommodate spatial limitations

• Extensive use of in-house 3D modelling to streamline design, fabrication, and installation

Outcome

The innovative modular system provided a highly efficient and space-saving solution for the Barangaroo Water Treatment Plant. By prefabricating components offsite, we reduced installation time and minimised disturbance within the high-profile construction zone. The use of 3D modelling ensured seamless integration of all components, optimising system performance and long-term reliability.
